IRONKAI
The stoic guardian

Long before the first spires of the Hollow City rose from the ash-fields, Ironkai stood watch. No one remembers who built him, or if "built" is even the right word. The oldest legends call him a debt paid by the earth itself, forged in the silence after the kaiju first rose from the deep trenches and tried to claim the surface for themselves.

He does not speak. He does not rest. When the sky splits and the kaiju crawl up to test the walls of the last cities, Ironkai is already there, horns lowered, fists closed, waiting. Some say he feels nothing, that centuries of standing guard hollowed him out long ago. Others say it's the opposite, that he feels everything, every city the kaiju took before he could reach it, and the silence is the only way he carries it.

He answers to no throne and no faction. Ironkai defends the line because the kaiju will take everything behind it if he doesn't, nothing more, nothing less. When Ironkai Mk-II was raised generations later, built in his image but hungry to prove itself against enemies Ironkai had already faced a hundred times over, the old guardian said nothing. He simply moved over, and made room on the wall.
