Mordake - Zorpantheon mecha

MORDAKE
The corrupted powerhouse

Mordake was not always what he is now. The oldest records, the ones the other guardians don't like to talk about, say he stood on the wall once too, armor unmarked, eyes the same steady blue as Ironkai's. Then a kaiju did something to him mid-battle that no one fully understands, some claim or corruption that rewrote him from the inside out, and he came back from that fight wearing the enemy's mark instead of his own.

Now his armor bleeds red light instead of reflecting it, and the symbols scratched across his plating aren't decoration. They're containment, carved by his own hands in what was left of his discipline, an attempt to hold back whatever the kaiju put in him. Most days, it works. Not all days.

The crew doesn't fully trust him, and Mordake doesn't ask them to. He fights the kaiju because some fragment of who he used to be still remembers the wall, still remembers what he was built to protect, even carrying a piece of the enemy inside him. Ironkai never orders him away. He just watches Mordake the way you watch a storm that hasn't decided yet whether it's going to pass over or break.
