The living fracture in reality

Voidcast doesn't come from the same place the other kaiju do. Snowkin has a territory. Torporath has an origin, buried and tragic as it is. Voidcast has neither, because Voidcast isn't entirely from the Hollow City's world at all. The scars carved into his frame aren't wounds. They're openings, small tears in reality that let something else look through.

He doesn't attack like a kaiju that wants territory or revenge. He attacks like something testing whether the world holds together the way it's supposed to. The purple rifts across his body flicker without warning, and every guardian who's fought him describes the same thing: a battle that stops making sense halfway through, distances that don't measure right, attacks that seem to land before they're thrown. Ironkai has fought him twice. Both times, he says the fight ended not because Voidcast retreated, but because Voidcast simply wasn't there to fight anymore.

The other kaiju keep their distance from him too. Grumblor, who has outlasted mecha for generations and finds almost nothing worth reacting to, reacts to Voidcast. Whatever the guardians are actually defending the Hollow City from, most of them privately agree it isn't the wall Voidcast is interested in breaking. It's something underneath it.
